Not sure who needs to hear this.
I wrote it last week when I had my cranky pants on and wanted to go live in a cabin because I felt drained from making something a thing that didn’t need to be a thing. Silly me. Luckily I teach a course called SuperCharged that teaches you to be a self governed creator of your reality with really frothy practices that dissolve resistance and place you into the energy of flow and path most attuned to your soul. I’m shameless about plugging this mentorship. I love and breathe this way of existing. It changed my life as much as I’ve seen it do for almost 100 other beings in the past 15 months. The other day I woke up thinking about what I could post to the gram.

Since when is the first thing I think about not rolling over and smooching my man.
Or coffee.
Or my breath.
Or the ocean.
2020 exposed a shadow of specialness.
She creeps in and yarns in my ear about worth, value and authority.
I hear her quite the bit chiming in and I wonder if anyone else has this creep between their ears?
I spoke to my legendary friend, @jesslee_intuitive this week and I told her about this.
She helped a lot.
A LOT.
I’m going to be introducing days where I’m not online — at all. Not a bit.
So I get get back to me before we (gasp, I know).
Thing is, I knew if I don’t nestle into my own heart first, charging my life force to 100%, the rest of my presence with my clients, writing and relationships is sub optimal.
It’s taken a ton of stripping guilt and unpacking the straight A student, sports captain, QLD and premier league soccer captain, Bach. Med Sci grad and know it all, to get here.
I think the new way should have a disclaimer of ‘me pre we’. A code of enjoyment within the terms of birth to earth. Enabling a ripple of sparkly magic from inside, into the we.
I opened my camera and it was at this flattering angle with the nose of my pooch. I went to delete it and realised it was a good reminder that my posts don’t need to save the world. I’m sure I could be more eloquent in my delivery of this message but I finished my poop 3 minutes ago. #toilettimeiscreativetime

How radical that would be????

In all the hustle and bustle it’s easy to forget — we were the generation of dirt eating kids, home by dark else you’re grounded pre teens and Saturday morning Ragers who switched from a Nokia 3315 to the iPhone 1 mid puberty.

We were bred for change and thrive in JOY!

Our personal anthems were the song lyrics we used as our MSN status and Facebook was nothing more than a convenient connection post high school grad.

We spoke our *truth* and let the basics enhance the connections we had, not replace the ones we most value.

Life was all sorted in simplicity.

I’m not suggesting we need to give up our gifts or stop making magic. I just think the weight of our expectations give us amnesia.

We forget that joy is one of the most sought out and valuable states that naturally occurs when we — ahem — fucking relax 🧡 that’s all.

(Oh and the wet dog look is from a rainy adventure to the beach. Grin for the win.)

LM: fuck it, I’m flat, I’m tired and I hate all people. ⠀
BM: expression isn't the same as complaint and it most certainly doesn't shift heaviness. ⠀
LM: oh please let me jus—⠀
BM: what — whinge? Try actually paying attention to what you're feeling rather than playing out those melodramatic scripts — you’re making yourself wrong and resisting. ⠀
LM: you’d resist too if you felt how I fe—⠀
BM: I do feel it, I’m just not attached to your expectations about how you should feel first day back. What if you stopped fighting for a damn minute and paid attention to what’s happening?⠀
LM: dunno, what?⠀
BM: you will begin self regulating, healing and integrating on your ownsome (that’s now a word), that’s what. ⠀
LM: stop it — really? How?⠀
BM: well, as we shift the focus from inner chaos to present sensations like our breath, the bear of our heart, sweat rolling down our temples and flutters in our tummy, we are no longer the subject of suffering, we’re witnessing the object that was momentarily entangled in distortion. ⠀
LM: distortion?⠀
BM: yes, judgment creates distortion. When you’re fighting life, you become the source of your own inner turbulence ⠀
LM: oh. That’s me? ⠀
BM: mmmhmm. Look, when things are shaky and nothing is working, we might see that we are on the verge of something. We might realise that this is a very vulnerable and tender place, and that tenderness can go either way. We can shut down and feel resentful or we can touch in on that throbbing quality. ⠀
LM: you said throbbing 😂⠀
BM: stop it, WE ALREADY HAVE everything we need. There is no need to self-improve this mood. All these expectations that we lay on ourselves—the identities that we so dearly cling to —never touch our basic wealth.⠀
LM: sounds legit.⠀
BM: you’re welcome. Pema Chodrön says “We think that the point is to pass the test or to overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don't really get solved. They come together and they fall apart.” ⠀
